Stonechip and Underbody Protection

SprayTec stonechip & underbody protection is a synthetic resin and rubber-based underbody coating material that can be painted over. Specially developed for drip-free application for immediate processing as a spray or as ready-to-spray funnel bottle with the suction air or airless gun. Forms a permanently elastic protective coat against stonechips of all kinds. SprayTec stonechip & underbody protection has excellent corrosion resistance (in acc. with DIN 53210SS, salt spray test 200 hours), excellent adhesion and wear resistance. The product is viscoplastic, dries fast and can be painted over with any paint system once completely dry. Provides effective protection against heat and cold and can be used between 5°C and 35°C. Touch-proof after approx. 2 hours, dry hard after 24 hours. SprayTec stonechip & underbody protection is used on the outside of car bodies, e.g. on spoilers, rear skirts, sills etc. The vehicle is permanently protected against mechanical and chemical agents.

Properties

Application:

  • A synthetic resin and rubber-based underbody coating spray that can be painted over for drip-free application and for immediate processing as a spray.
  • SprayTec stonechip and underbody protection spray protects reliably against stone chipping, road salt, rust, water, ice, snow and corrosion.

Application fields:

  • For cars, lorries, vehicles, spoilers, sills, caravans, tanks, boats etc.

Drying times:

  • Completely dried after 24 hours
  • Touch-proof after approx. 2 hours

Note:

  • Shake can well for 3 minutes before use
  • Test spray first
  • Spray several layers of the product on from a distance of 20-30 cm in cross-coats
  • Once completely hard, can be painted over with any paint system
  • Generously tape over any areas that should not be sprayed
  • Do not spray onto the engine, gears, brakes and exhaust pipe
  • Do not treat with spray oil
  • The treated surface needs to be thoroughly cleaned of penetrating oil, tar and residual wax
  • Remove any splashes on the car body immediately with a cloth soaked in petrol or white spirit
  • After use, turn the can upside down and spray until the valve is empty
  • Clean all used tools properly.
